To enhance and preserve Piedmont Park as a vital urban green space and as a cultural and recreational resource that enhances the quality of life for all Atlantans.

We foster community engagement by connecting 147,000 annual community shoppers to locally grown produce through our open air local Green Market.
Our small and large off leash dog parks support good canine physical health and socialization to 700,000 wagging tails.
Our volunteer program provides opportunities for more than 3,400 Atlantans to work together to provide invaluable assistance in maintaining and beautifying the Park.
Free cultural performances offer audiences the opportunity to experience the Park through interactive experiences.
The Piedmont Park Aquatic Center enables 50,000 families to make memorable summer experiences. The Active Oval provides recreational opportunities for 68,000 athletes each year.
And, striving to provide affordable high quality youth environmental educational opportunities for PreK-12 learners, the Conservancy provides opportunities for hands-on learning about science, nature and conservation.

Like thousands of other Atlantans, Sylvia has found a place in beautiful Piedmont Park that makes health and exercise an enjoyable experience. Ever since she was diagnosed with breast cancer, Sylvia has been faced with a choice: take medications or do high intensity workouts to tackle the increased chance of osteoporosis.
“It makes a difference that I have Piedmont Park. I don’t even feel like I am exercising. Whatever problem I am facing or stress I’m feeling when I enter the park, by the time I leave, the load seems lighter,” says Russell, “that’s why I call Piedmont Park my happy place.”
It’s because of the work of the Piedmont Park Conservancy that Sylvia and others have access to a 208 acre park, though, “to remain beautiful, the park needs help,” Russell says. “It depends on the contributions of the community. It feels free because you don’t have to pay to get in here, but it’s costly to run a park. And it’s worth it. It’s an investment for Midtown and Atlanta.”

Volunteers are important members of our community and are critical to the success of the Park and our programs. Piedmont Park's volunteer opportunities include: Green Team, Pick Up and Pitch In, Day in the Dirt (Group Experiences), Clean Up the Park, One Golf Cart at a Time, Tour Docents, Administrative and Special Events. Funding Needs
Piedmont Park is managed through a partnership formed with the City of Atlanta and is the most active green space and most popular free amenity in the city. Piedmont Park is a regional park that serves over 4 million visitors annually, drawing from more than 134 zip codes.
The Piedmont Park Conservancy is responsible for raising 60% of the support annually required to operate and maintain Piedmont Park, oversees 90% of its daily maintenance, and is responsible for 100% of capital improvements. Every year, the Piedmont Park Conservancy invests $3 million in the programming, maintenance and beautification of Piedmont Park. Many do not realize that the Conservancy relies heavily on philanthropic donations and does not receive funding from festivals and events permitted in the Park.
